We have wished for nothing more than to have camp on campus this summer. We looked forward to seeing our smiling campers every day; it’s what we work tirelessly towards all year long. Camp Gan is truly a magical place and all of us recognize the profound impact of camp upon our lives and the sadness in not opening our on campus program.
That’s why we are bringing Gan to our campers! This summer, we will be offering Gan Backyard “camps” right in people’s backyards. This way, we can keep our campers and their families safe, while still offering the fun of camp to smaller family “pods”.
For $325 a week per camper (3 week minimum), local Greenwich & Rye Brook families would choose a small pod of friends (4 minimum to 8 maximum campers), pick a backyard to act as host (with access to bathrooms) and Gan will provide the rest:
  • 2 experienced, college-aged Camp Gan counselors
  • Learning curriculum
  • Daily schedules
  • Supplies
  • Snacks
  • Insulated bento box (to bring packed lunch from home)
  • Tent, sprinklers, sports equipment & more
  • Daily visits from beloved Camp Gan speciality instructors, Monday-Thursday
  • Weekly socially distanced Shabbat Celebration & Camp Show, Friday
  • Support from Camp Gan Head Staff
We have the capacity to run up to 16 “pods” on a first come, first serve basis. In order to plan appropriately, we will only accept registration until June 22nd. Campers can  be of mixed ages, if that’s what works for families making up a particular pod. If you are interested in joining but don’t have a group to join, please let us know on the registration form and we will try to help match you. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER BY JUNE 22!
We realize that our NEW Summer 2020 Gan Backyard camp option isn’t for everyone. That’s why we will also be offering a Camp Gan Out-of-the-Box option, with weekly contactless pick-up from Chabad, of all materials needed. This will include a Jewish learning curriculum, activities, games and projects – some with a digital component – as well as virtual events featuring world class entertainers. Your camper will also be invited to attend our weekly – socially distanced – Friday Shabbat Celebration & Show in person. Boxes are $125 per weekCLICK HERE TO ORDER YOUR BOXES BY JUNE 22!

Based on today’s reports about Health Officials fears of the spread of the Covid-19 virus at day camps, unless there is a drastic change toward the positive, we will be unable to run camp on our campus in a meaningful and prudent way within the reality of this pandemic.

After our many years all together at Camp Gan, we can’t imagine not seeing all of those smiling faces descending each morning on the tennis courts, ready for camp! We are excited to be able to offer 2 new options for these unique times and we are all counting the days until Summer 2021!

As always, we are here to answer any questions you might have.
